Get Qualified To Administer Vaccines
HHS has authorized qualified pharmacy technicians to begin administering childhood vaccines and the COVID-19 vaccine, when it becomes available,
in all 50 states. In addition to being nationally certified and/or registered with your State Board of Pharmacy, technicians must complete an ACPE-accredited training program that includes hands-on training...and for that, NPTA has you covered.

The HHS guidance authorizes qualified pharmacy technicians acting under the supervision of a qualified pharmacist to administer to FDA-authorized or FDA-licensed COVID-19 vaccines to persons ages three or older and to administer FDA-authorized or FDA-licensed ACIP-recommended vaccines to persons ages three through 18 according to ACIP’s standard immunization schedule, so long as specific requirements are met.
